Background The CAP reform of the tobacco sector aims at phasing out the product support for tobacco. Therefore it is necessary to develop sustainable alternative sources of income and economic activity, especially in areas with a great dependency on tobacco growing. The European seminar intends to bring together tobacco cooperatives, researchers and potential business partners.
